Can you believe Friday has already snuck up on us? I hope you all have some fun weekend plans ahead. What’s on tap?
Let’s look back at 10 things I did this week!
1. Went to my first Charlotte Knights game of the season! We stayed till the end and we won. Makes me miss the days of playing Little League and High School baseball!
2. We ate dinner in every night! Small victories 🙂
3. I started designing a lovely monthly newsletter for you all with some freebies. How does a free meal plan and seasonal produce list sound?
4. I recipe tested like crazy over here. Some coconut maple cinnamon granola and some hemp seed bars. Look for some previews next week!
5. I love this t-shirt that Charlotte’s got a lot sent me! Love it! The taps are actual buildings in Uptown Charlotte. I wore it to the Knights game.
6. I bought some Feetures socks – Aren’t these colors awesome? And the mission behind Feetures is too! They are a NC based company who gives you a LIFETIME warranty on socks.
If you ever get a hole in them, you can always get a replacement. No sponsorship here, just a great brand to support!
7. I made two purchases on Amazon. I finally bought some probiotics (this brand) and an electric toothbrush! You guys, this was my first Amazon Prime same-day purchase. As in I ordered it in the afternoon and it was delivered in the evening. Crazy!
I had heard great things about Phillips Sonicare and so far I love it! I definitely recommend it. While I had an electric toothbrush when I was little, why the heck did I never get one as an adult until now?
As for the probiotics, just started taking them so I’ll share my thoughts next week. I just find myself buying so much kombucha, but I want to make sure I’m always stocked with that good bacteria.
8. I took three days straight off of running. Probably a good week to do so since we’ve had so much rain and yucky weather. I can’t tell you how good it felt to focus on yoga and rest my legs. My arms, though, are super sore from all the strength training I’ve been doing.
9. Prepared for a large health fair I’ll be working at next week. This included making all the education materials, preparing a presentation, and blocking out time slots to meet with employees.
10. Started on The Wreckage. Also, doing some professional development and looking to enhance nutrition counseling skills.

Yay for recipe testing! Those socks are super cute–I love that shade of blue, and that’s awesome that they just replace em’ if there’s ever a hole! :O I’ll have to check it out! I’ve been thinking of getting an electric toothbrush too–you’ll have to let me know how that goes!
Good luck on the health fair! :]
I love it so far, Farrah! Hope you had a nice weekend!
What an awesome week you had! Knights games are the best. I can’t wait to check out the article links. So interesting!
I can’t wait to get to some more Knights games 🙂
That granola looks great! This week I finished up classes, started studying for finals, and went to an amazing yoga class that had an open ended discussion too about goals and intentions for the month of May. 🙂
That sounds like a yoga class i want to go to! Good luck on finals, Alyssa.
I can definitely believe that we waste a lot of food, think about the portion sizes at restaurants!! Most people can’t even eat half of their plate!
So the socks company is actually really cool, I always eventually end up with holes, this is a great money saver,
Awesome idea with the newsletter! I would definitely be interested in what you have to share 🙂
Thanks Stephanie! You should definitely give the socks a try 🙂
Do we really produce 50% more food waste than in the 70s. That’s sad.
Good luck on the probiotics. I started them again a couple of weeks ago since transitioning off of the low-FODMAP diet, and I think they’ve made a big difference for my IBS.
It really is a tough statistic to stomach. I’m glad probiotics have made a difference for you!
A baseball game sounds so fun! I wish my brother played closer to me .
Kudos to you for being such an entrepreneur!
Have a great weekend!
You should go to a Knights game – the new stadium is very impressive!
Feetures are my absolute favorite sock right now! I used to get random blisters here and there but since wearing these I’ve had nothing. Plus the bright colors are the best haha. That T-shirt is super cool! Have a good weekend:)
I’m so glad you love Feetures – they truly are amazing! And bright socks are my favorite – they brighten up any mood 🙂
Sounds like a super productive week! That granola looks amazing and I love that t-shirt!
Thanks, Kim!
Sounds like a great week for you, Miss Sarah.
I’d say it was!
I actually love my Manuel brush because I feel like when I brush harder I get my teeth cleaner. Yes, I realize this is ridiculous haha
Have a great weekend! 🙂
I totally see where you are coming from! 🙂
I decided to get an electric toothbrush this week! I grind my teeth, and even though I wear a night guard my dentist said it can sill cause gum recession, and the electric toothbrushes are easier on the gums. Amazon is really amazing!! Have a great weekend!
I hope you are loving yours! I sure am!
Wow look at you go on the blog/work initiative. The newsletter/meal plan/recipe testing and reading to further your interests are all really exciting. You have a great motivation and drive and it really shows through your work!
Thanks, Cora! I feel like I’ll be on a roll with ideas, and then next time, I’ll be at a standstill with no motivation. Its an ebb and flow reality.
I’ve never tried an electric toothbrush before–let me know if its way better! It’s been really really rainy and dreary this week in Pennsylvania too. I’m ready for some sunshine 🙁
Hope you have a great weekend!
I am loving it so far. My teeth feel much cleaner in those hard to reach areas. I hope you got some sunshine this weekend!
