Good morning friends, happy friday! I was going to do a Friday Favorites today, but I figured that was kind of similar to Monday’s post, so I opted for a day in the life instead. This is a day where I had multiple projects going on so I thought it would be a fun one to share!
5 am – Wake up to feed Camryn. Most of the time, I go back to sleep but today, I’m awake so I just stay up and have some coffee in my yeti. I love this thing so much because it keeps my coffee warm for a while.
Sidenote on Camryn’s sleep – She has been sleeping from 7pmish to 7amish. She will usually wake up sometime between 5 and 6 to eat, so I’ll feed her and most of the time she’ll go back to sleep. Having her sleeping through the night has done wonders on my energy levels, too! We’ve been following the protocol in Precious Little Sleep for sleep training.
5:30-7 am – Work on an online course I signed up for (it’s about body image and treating disordered eating and eating disorders) and make some tweaks to the blog.
7:15 am – Camryn’s up! I love how happy she is when she wakes up for the day.
7:30-8:30 am – Hang out with Camryn, feed Tater, and eat breakfast with Camryn. This is one of my favorite parts of the day, sharing breakfast together. She’s so much fun and so adventurous with whatever I put on her tray. Today it’s toast with Fage 5% yogurt and hemp seeds, some leftover broccoli and veggie mixture. She actually swallows more than usual and does pretty well.
9 am – Leave for a local coffee shop where I meet my clients. I have two private practice clients this morning, one initial and one follow up. The initials usually take longer and while I offer both in person and virtual options, I love doing the initial visit in person whenever possible. I get my favorite lavender vanilla iced latte with oat milk.
9:30-12 – Meet with clients and do some charting.
12:15 – I pump and then head to Aldi to pick up some groceries. This was a last minute decision but I have some time before my next client at 2 and it’s on the way home so why not knock it out?
12:45 – Drop groceries off at home and then swing by the library to return a book and pick up two that I had on hold. The two books I Pick up are All Your Perfects (I’m almost done and loving this one!) and Good Luck With That. Can I just say having a library card is the best thing ever?!
1:30 – Get to my office, eat lunch and prepare for my next client. This time, I’m seeing clients at the gym that I work out of one day a week. Usually, it’s runners or women struggling with disordered eating.
2-4:30 – See two more clients and do some charting.
4:45 pm – Head to get new phone. I’d been having some problems with my current phone so decided it was time to upgrade. I upgraded to the iphone 8 plus, and so far I really like it. I love that it has portrait mode, too 🙂 This didn’t take nearly as long as I thought it would, so I was able to get home and make dinner before Camryn went to bed.
6 pm – Dinner, which was leftovers for foods I had prepped earlier in the week. This was an easy chickpea “stew”, paired with risotto, asparagus (Cam’s favorite) and veggies. I had a few servings of this before doing bedtime with Cam.
6:45-7 pm – Cam’s bedtime! This is a recycled picture from when my sister visited but same idea.
7-7:30 – I clean up the dishes from dinner while Ed washes bottles. I make my lunch for the next day and we settle in to watch Life Itself with some ice cream.
9 pm – Get ready for bed! I like to read and journal a little in bed, and goal is to have lights out by 10!
