Fork is a restaurant just north of Charlotte focused on a local flare and bringing in local ingredients to create smaller, unique dishes. They have a beautiful front porch, which is a huge selling point in the warmer months to try. They are on Open Table which is another perk.
We came in for brunch, and it was absolutely delicious! I’ve been in once before for cocktails and have had it on my bucket list to come back in for brunch and/ or dinner since their menu is very locally inspired and varies often.
I went with the grass fed burger and it was delicious! It was nice and juicy, the local havarti cheese melted perfectly and the smoked onions were game changers. The thin hand cut fries were great too, although I feel slightly skimped by the amount I got with my burger. C’mon – I was looking for more greasy fries! They were pretty delicious though, for a child size portion.
The chicken and waffles was awesome and blew my mind with how flavorful they were. You have the perfect combo of sweet and savory when you dip it in syrup. The fried chicken was superb.
I was a little disappointed with the Bloody Mary. I think it could have used a little more spice and vodka, but they have a delicious craft cocktail menu as well.
The servers are friendly, knowledgeable and service is pretty quick. The prices aren’t outrageous, considering you’re getting locally sourced food. I would definitely come back.
