Woop woop, happy Friday ya’ll! Have you entered my free giveaway for Epsom Salts yet? Last day!
We drove to Pennsylvania last night to spend the holidays with Ed’s family, and I’m all cozied up having some coffee this morning and enjoying the downtime. Thought you’d enjoy a glimpse of our copilot.
I’m so glad I’m starting to feel more like myself this week, after being out of commission last week.
Let’s get to some fun favorites from the week!
Ice Skating!
It’s been a while since I’ve ice skated and for our date night this month, I really wanted to go. We had a blast and I picked it back up pretty easily. It really is so much fun! Plus they were playing Christmas music, so it made me really feel like Christmas is only a few days away.
Pub Subs
This is actually from last week but worthy of a remention. Can you believe I hadn’t tried a pubsub before? Well this first time customer will become a repeat customer.
Panera’s Hot Chocolate
Who knew their hot chocolate was this epic? We went to Panera for lunch while Tater got her first grooming on (see picture below). I ordered soup and once I read how they could power up the hot chocolate, I knew I had to order one. You guys – chocolate chip marshmallows and chocolate drizzle. So good!

Client Appreciation
I’m extra appreciative of my clients this month. While December has been one where some people have just “given up” and put their New Year’s goals on hold, I have so much respect for the ones who have continued to meet with me consistently to form their holiday plan and start discussing goals for the New Year. I also received gifts from many clients this week and it just warms my heart so much. I feel so fortunate to work with such special, kind hearted people.
Austin Half Marathon
Flights are booked! Can’t wait to knock a new city of my bucket list. Anyone ever done this race?
Friday Flashback
Rising above negative self talk . I think this is so important this time of year!
Make this this weekend and add some gingerbread seasoning! Coconut Cinnamon Maple Granola
Good Reads
Beans beat meat for satiety <– I will say that sometimes I feel more full after a nice burger and some high quality meat, but the fiber in beans does have a leg up.
The nutrient you didn’t know you were missing <– Really interesting read about choline! If you don’t know by now, so many health benefits to eating the egg yolks!
What I Learned from reading 52 books this year <– So fascinating. Someday, I would like to make this resolution!
Why Runners hit the wall and what to do about it <– I like the “If, then” techniques. I will also be trying the “attention narrowing” in my next race.
Tell me your highs from the week!
