I Survived The Marathon

Hi friends and Happy Monday!

Firstly, thank you so much to all of you for your words of advice and encouragement before the Rock and Roll Marathon Savannah. And thanks to those who texted, emailed, messaged or called with well wishes. It meant more to me than you know.

I’ll be back with my entire race recap later this week but just wanted to stop in and let you know that it went well. I finished in one piece and ended up easily beating my original goal of sub 4 hours.

And then I ate lots of yummy food, from seafood, to Mexican, to steak.

I think Lucy was proud of me.

Savannah is pretty.

My finishing time was 3:41.57. I have so many more thoughts to share with you all about emotions before/during the race, excitement and nutritional race day fueling but I’ll save that for later.

I’m still kinda excited I ran a marathon and I’m trying to revel in this accomplishment.

This is by far the best picture I’ve yet to come across from the race. I love Ed’s face. And my Mizuno Wave Sayonara shoes!

In the meantime, eat something delicious today and make today a happy one!

Tell me about your weekend!
