I feel like I haven’t done a WIAW post in so long. I purposely took pictures of my meals and snacks yesterday to share with you today.
If I’m being honest, I feel like the blog is shifting a bit. I want to put out content that provides value to you guys, so I’m doing less lifestyle posts. Although if you guys like things like Friday Favorites, WIAW and Day in the Life, I can try to do more of those.
I’m learning that sometimes it’s not realistic for me to get 3 posts up each week. I try to aim for two consistently, and if I get 3 up, then great. But if I don’t, I’m not beating myself up over it. I was putting too much pressure on myself to do that and if I want to provide valuable content, it takes me more time to write those types of posts. Hope that makes sense but would love some feedback!
Tuesday morning actually started really early (like 5:30am early) because Camryn got up. She usually sleeps until 6:30-7ish, so I fed her and tried to get her back down this morning but she was up ready to play. She has started walking (!!) so I know all she thinks about and wants to do is practice her new skills.
So, we were up playing with toys, drinking coffee and watching the Bachelor before 7am. I started this season on Hulu this weekend because I was sick and it sounded like the right thing to do. Now I’m drawn in to the drama, as usual.
Since she got up so early, she took an early morning nap. My appetite has been a little off with this cold, so I snacked on a chocolate bite with my second cup of coffee (old photo) and caught up on some backend blog stuff.
The boring stuff, like hosting providers, SEO and stuff. Important stuff, but not very glamorous!
We had a late breakfast around 9:15 when Camryn woke up from her morning nap.
After breakfast, I headed out for a massage. My mother in law got me a massage package for Christmas and it’s the best thing ever. Since I sit at a computer the majority of the time and I’m breastfeeding, I feel like I’m often hunched over.
I’m really working on stretching out my back and shoulders, but I know I hold a lot of tension there. So, these massages are helping in more ways than one.
After the massage, I headed to a local coffee shop where I had a client meeting in the afternoon. I brought my lunch and had leftovers from the night before, a Hello Fresh meal. It was white jasmine rice, zucchini, carrots, mushrooms and beef.
The leftovers weren’t nearly as pretty as the actual dish, but still delicious.
After my client meeting, I worked on a freelance piece that’s due this week and headed back home. I took a break to pump in the car and snacked on a Wella Bar. It’s a glamorous life, pumping in the car, but keeping it real!
It was a pretty low key day. I tried not to put too much on the schedule since I’m still trying to get over this sickness that Cam gave me, but it did feel good to get out of the house.
When I got home, I started another Hello Fresh meal, a cheesy chicken shephards pie (referral code for $40 off your first order). Camryn really loved this one – the mashed potatoes and peas were her favorite.
We actually haven’t given her peas yet so good to know how much she enjoys them!
Now, I’m writing this Tuesday night with a bowl of Turkey Hill peanut butter chocolate ice cream while catching up on The Bachelor.
