What I’m loving lately and Weekend Highlights

Hi friends! I hope you had an exciting or restful weekend, whichever you needed more! I figured I’d pop in today to show some clips from my weekend and some things I’m really loving right now. In typical fashion, most of it is Good Eats. I checked off some new places on the bucket list!

 

Espresso, and lots of it. Especially when thesis writing is involved.

New running shoes!

And, using those new shoes..a 10 miler in some mild 70 degree weather!

Post run smoothies (1/2 frozen banana, 1 handful spinach, 1 cup frozen blueberries, 1/2 scoop vega chocolate protein powder, 1/2 cup greek yogurt, and 1 cup almond milk).

A free week at Core Power Yoga for new students! Yoga sculpt with weights in a heated room was so hard, but so fun! We did burpees, lots of strength training and conditioning, and whatever else the teacher yelled at us. I was dripping with sweat – this is such a good deal!

I finally got my guest pass to the Nike Employee Store, and I bought lotsss of Nike branded apparel. And these shoes – I’m obsessed.

Burgers from PDX Sliders. This one had bacon, goat cheese and strawberry preserves. (See…goat cheese?)

Hawthorne Burger

Mini cupcakes from Saints. I love mini cupcakes because I can try more flavors! These were chocolate and salted caramel, chocolate with vanilla buttercream and banana chocolate chip with peanut butter frosting and a banana chip (my favorite!).

Saturday morning pancakes – Banana cinnamon oat pancakes with bluebs and raspberries. Best part is they are made with eggs and high in protein. Recipe is on instagram and I’ll be posting it later this week!
