As a parent, you’re probably aware of the typical eating behaviors of your kids. Even if they’re typically good eaters, when Christmas comes around, the focus moves to Christmas cookies, fun desserts and holiday treats.
Maybe you’re working on your holiday ham or green bean casserole, but the kids are more focused on the snacks and Christmas cookies.
With these Christmas recipes for kids, you can knock out two things at once.

Ways to Involve Your Kids in Christmas Recipes
There are endless ways to involve your kids in the kitchen – depending on their age and how much time you/they have!
Cooking together not only keeps little hands busy but also builds confidence, encourages creativity, and helps even picky eaters get excited about food.
Plus, these kid friendly Christmas recipes are festive and your kids will WANT to help make these.
From colorful treats to wholesome holiday favorites, these Christmas recipes can be personalized and made ahead of time.
For starters, here are some universal ways.
Let them pick out ingredients from the pantry. Give them direction or ask them to find the secret ingredients as their mission.
Let them measure/sift flour, pour ingredients into a bowl
Practice math and fractions with measuring ingredients, like 1/2 cup of flour + 1/4 cup of oats
Break eggs – This may be better suited to older kiddos to ensure no cracks get in the mixture and raw eggs aren’t everywhere!
Let them work on hand-eye coordination by whisking ingredients or using a mixing spoon.
Set the table with a tablecloth, placemats and place settings
I typically involve my kids year-round, which is great practice for them to learn some of these Christmas recipes for kids.
