We’re no strangers to healthy smoothie recipes here – We love them all year round.

Though you’ll certainly want to make this banana peach smoothie in the warm months when you have juicy, fresh peaches!

As a Registered Dietitian and mom, smoothies are my favorite way to add nutrition for kids – flax seeds, chia seeds, greek yogurt, fruits, veggies – you can add them all into a creamy liquid that looks pretty!

Some of our favorites are this mango and orange smoothie, cottage cheese banana smoothie and this black bean smoothie that tastes like mint chocolate ice cream!

We really love Greek yogurt smoothies for quick breakfast and snack ideas – they take 5 minutes! Plus, it’s worth it for me to pull out the big blender if I’m making multiple servings.

Otherwise, I’ll use my single serving blender, which makes cleaning much easier.

While we’re getting protein in this peach and banana smoothie through yogurt, milk and optional protein powder, we’re also getting some fiber from the bananas, peaches and flax seeds.

This smoothie is a win for important nutrients to keep us full!

Why You’ll Love This Creamy Banana Peach Smoothie

  • Only 5 ingredients – Just banana, peaches, milk, yogurt and ice.
  • Nutritious and easy for on the go – We use our toddler smoothie cups all the time. Smoothies are so easy for kids, especially those that are a little more selective.
  • Easy on the go breakfast – Combine ingredients the night before in a bag or your blender in the fridge and just blend in the morning!
  • No sweetener needed but optional to add one – Add honey, maple syrup or even vanilla yogurt if you like your sweeter! I love serving this as a baby smoothie (with no sugar)!.
  • Fun to serve as a dip – An out-of-the-box way to serve this banana and peach smoothie is as a dip for fruit, veggies or crackers! When doing this, I’ll make it extra thick with more ice or frozen peaches and bananas.

Just 5 Simple Ingredients

Here’s what you’ll need for this summer smoothie with a few notes.

labeled ingredients for banana and peach smoothie
  • Banana – Fresh or frozen! If using frozen, you can reduce the ice
  • Diced peaches – fresh, frozen or canned all work! Frozen can help with a thicker consistency.
  • Greek yogurt – Both plain and vanilla work well and taste amazing.
  • flax seeds or chia seeds, optional – If you want to add more fiber, nutrition and healthy fats!

Making Your Peach and Banana Smoothie

Just add all of your ingredients to a blender. I prefer adding the ice first and then the other ingredients.

Blend until it reaches your desired consistency!

Like a creamier smoothie? Play around with adding more ice as needed (and/or less liquid).

Like a more liquid smoothie? Use more liquid and less ice.

Delicious without a sweetener

Most other peach and banana smoothies use a sweetener. My kids devoured their smoothies when I just used plain greek yogurt and no sweetener. You could add honey or maple syrup if you’d like, but I always start without it when serving to kids.

Expert Smoothie Tips

  • If you want the pretty peach color, the flax and chia seeds may alter the color slightly. So, either add them last or omit them. You can add oats to replace the fiber from the lost chia or flax.
  • You can play around with the texture tips by adding more or less ice and liquid. There’s no exact ratio, but I like my peach smoothie to be thicker like a peach milkshake.
  • Use plain greek yogurt and extra ripe bananas for more natural sweetness without added sugars.
  • To make for meal prep, store in smoothie bags in the freezer for easy blending. Just take out and add liquid!
