The menu here is over the top original and great. I really enjoyed myself and loved trying all of the food we ordered, starting with the waffle fry nachos, my grilled apple pie sandwich, and fried oreos.
This is southern, fried food at its finest – not many “healthyish” items on the menu, which is fine. You come in here knowing that. With options like PB&J wings, chicken-pancake tacos, waffle fry nachos, venison sloppy joe, you’re sure to try something out of your comfort zone! I ordered the Grilled Apple Pie sandwich and added chicken – I would not recommend adding fried chicken – it was way too overpowering for the actual “apple pie” thought of the sandwich. Cute how they serve side salads in mini mason jars!
My husband and father both had the chicken and pancake tacos and raved about them. They looked delicious, and I love the originality spin on chicken and waffles.
Lastly, fried oreos. Just, yes.
A great tip is to go in on Tuesdays (Taco Tuesdays) because IF YOU ORDER TACOS, YOU GET A FREE DRAFT BEER. YES, FREE!
2nd visit:
We had the low country boil flatbread with shrimp, corn, potatoes, sausage, onion and a butter sauce. The butter sauce was SO FREAKIN GOOD. And there’s a lump of crab cake on top – ahh-mazing. This holds the mark as one of my favorite dishes in Savannah. Splitting it among four was not a good idea because it didn’t last long enough.
They have great cocktails/mules too – always a good thing.
