This place is very talked about in the Portland brunch scene. It’s an eclectic place off of Alberta St (one of my favorite streets) with a lovable outdoor “garden”/patio area.
Ed and I came around 9am on a Friday and didn’t have to wait long to be seated. My advice is don’t go on a weekend and if you do, go early; otherwise you’ll find yourself waiting for hours.
I ordered the sweet chix with a biscuit and potato cake. It was good but nothing out of this world – sad to report based on the reviews I’ve heard!
Ed ordered “The Nice”, which was a neat opportunity to try a little bit of everything (Potato cake, scrambled eggs, sweet potato brioche french toast with fruit compote, bacon). I really liked the French toast with cooked apples!
The food was good, but not the best brunch around. I wouldn’t wait here for over an hour like some of the lines I’ve seen on weekends.
